Egg Farming

Everything you need to know about "breeding" fish for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players!!!

First and Foremost.....if you have not learned the Full Tension Fishing (FTF) technique yet, please go to that thread (further down the home page) and come back when you have learned it. It is not necessary to learn it to start "egg farming", but to master egg farming, it will be required.

The entire reason behind "egg farming" is to earn stars as easily as possible. For the beginner, there are several "3 star fish" capable of "egg farming". They include:

The first 3 at Secret Garden are the ones to focus on initially. As you gain new rods, equipment, training, and luck, these will get easier and easier to catch. As you are able, you can turn your"3 star" tank into a "6 star" tank. The 6 star egg dropping fish include:

These "fish" (KW is a mammal) are much harder to catch and will most likely need the FTF ability. I first started farming AW with a Platinum Rod +8, but the constant updates from gamEvil quickly forced me to learn FTF. Since then, a new 9 star egg dropping fish has been released and it is the:

When you read on the blog about a 3, 6, or 9 star tank, farming, breeding, or getting an egg, this is what everyone is talking about. 

When "egg fishing" Frequency and Luck are the key. The higher the luck you have, the better the chances of catching an egg you have. The more often you fish your friends' tanks, the more often you catch an egg. This is the same for 3, 6, and 9 star tanks. As your luck increases to over 100, (including master's baits)  if you do not catch an egg with 3 or 4 of your friends aquariums, log out, wait 15 minutes, and try again. It seems to have a dramatic effect with your catch ratio (thank you Nest20).

Many people ask, "how much should I fish and feed"? That is up to you and your time to play the game. Now that we have 100 in game friends instead of 50, I feed 4 and fish 1. But, when I was a 3 star tank player, I would fish all 5 of nearly all 50 of my friends to earn eggs!! In the end, you need to decide how many to fish and feed based upon how many eggs you need, how often you catch them, and how high your luck is. In order to increase your luck, have your highest rod, gear, and bait (Lucky, Beginner, Expert, Master) equipped. It will give you a noticeable advantage!!!
