    1. Pirarucu bites well on Crank and I had success with Worms as well, but not everytime. It's one of the fishing biting at certain hours, so if after 20 casts you have caught none, you better save your baits and try 2 hours later.

  21. Mates, I have a question.
I sometimes happen to read fishes caught by my friends in the news, but those fishes don't appear in sites' lists.
One I often read is the "Yalu Grayling", and today the "Tuna Lion Fish" appeared for the first time...
Are they some kind of hidden/ghost fishes like the Yelloweye at Paho Shore?
And where can I find 'em? :/

    ReplyDelete
  22. Finally I hooked the Blue Dot Ribbon Ray. I tried all the baits in the list 100+, the only one working for me was the C-Worm, and it worked twice! *O*
So, if you still miss the ray, you could try that grade of worm.
The first cast was max, straight, no ripples, fish value 1600.
    Second cast was 10 o'clock, 18 m, perfect cast (fish value was 1500), B-Chum.
I caught the 2 at about 1 hour difference, in the while I tried all grades of paste and worm on rotation.
    Good luck :)

Yes, I thought as well it could be a fish we maybe have already, but called with a different name..it happened with the Busiri, aka Amberjack, and for the Striped Shiner, which was named differently in a quest, but I forgot the name...mystery of FS developers! XD
However since the Yelloweye is at Paho Shore but not in list, I wondered if some other sites could have a "ghost fish" as well...mmmm....:3

    2. I had the same list a week ago. I got all of them except for the wolffish. Watch the competitions. I got saw edged (my nemesis for months now) and laced moray that way. The others i got using the most recommended bait on monster fish page at full cast perfect. Tiger shark in the rocks to the right, halibut just left of center (silver scaled 2 o'clock right and it's a beast), sturgeon center (angled came right after can't remember where). Golden wing bites s-worm full cast perfect after soul perch (nice term ivy:) These all seem to bite only at certain times so if you don't catch one after 10-20 casts I'd move on to a different fish for a while since they all usually require star baits. s-chum and a-chum definately help. Especially on the first few casts. Happy Fishing!

And I have Golden Rod +8 and am able to land two monster fish (Big Black Snakehead and Monster Pike), so I guess it's just your playing style.
Witht he Big Black Snakehead, I must say that I am lucky I got it on the second cast on minnow. Casted in about 11 o'clock max cast, perfect, and look for long ripple. She only revives twice. I land it on 20% saving my skill and wait for it to revive (they revive on green everytime) and then stun it and reel in. But you have to able to reel as close as possible.
The Monster Pike, on the other hand was a little tough. I think it took me 30 mins of fight. I had it on spinner, casted on perfect or excelent. Twice she got away but I got her the third time she bites.
Revives four times before I had it killed for sure. Lol I was so scared she might revive again after the fourth time that I have to reel her very carefully.

    1. The reel turns gold when the fish resists strongly, and also based on your stats.
With my stats I have Wolffishes with 1650/3300 on perfect hit which give a normal reel, 3400 ones give a gold reel 'till their energy reaches 40, then it turns normal.

    3. Ok thx doglips i thought this Orca wasn't your 1st...and 1st time you catch a monster it can bites from everywhere , there is no "specific" location to cast , once you have caught a type of monster it's harder to hook it and sometimes there are "specific" locations to cast for hook it.
Anyway thx for the reply ;)
My Monster Hunter (Rank 8) is Catch a named fish : 20/30 , it's stange that yours is up to 20/50 , maybe Gamevil fail on mine or on yours lol we'll see later :D

    1. Yeah, Sturgeon is hard to spot because only can be spotted at certain hours. Try to spend 20 minnows every 2 hours. If no bite, wait 2 hours and try again.

    Alligator Gar-Shrimp,Worm,Crank,Minnow,Spinner - 1120 - 22 - 222 - 3 stars

And if I have this fish in my tank, what does the 3 stars give me ? Does it mean that when i sell it, I get 3 stars instead of gold ?

    Cheers
